Section 11 - Co-Directors
Co-Directors will
have the same responsibilities as the primary director. They will also enjoy
the privileges of the primary director. They will however only have a vote when
the primary director is not present and a proxy is submitted.

a. 1. Year-end
awards will be decided by the “money won” system.
a. If a contestant is allowed to
enter more than one time and places twice at any single rodeo,
only points for the highest
placing shall be counted toward the season’s All-Around Awards. with the
exception of Tie Down Roping “2 Go’s” in which all money won will count towards
the season’s All Around Awards.

Dress Code – Contestants appearance must be neat, clean
and professional. Any contestant whose appearance is deemed unprofessional will
be fined. The fine will be $25.00. Contestants must wear long sleeve shirts
that are collared and have either buttons, snaps or full length zipper on the
front of the shirt. Jeans without holes, western boots and western hat (helmets
are acceptable).
a. Dress code for any person entering the arena
goes in effect 30 minutes prior to Grand Entry
through duration of the rodeo performance. Any infraction is
enforceable by the rodeo judges, director and are subject to a $25 fine.

4. Barrel racing and incentive barrel racing Any event with incentives will count as one event for All Around points. team roping and incentive team roping will
count as one event Only the largest amount won will
count towards the All Around points.

6.. Stock Contractor
membership dues shall be $200.00 annually, payable prior to the first NMRA
sanctioned rodeo of the year for said contractor. Annual dues will be applied
as follows. $100.00 goes to general membership and general fund. $100.00 goes
to stock contractor finals fund for the express purpose of paying for year-end
stock contractor prizes such as stock contractor of the year, bucking bull, and
bucking horse of the year. Stock Contractors awarded Possession
of an a NMRA gold card does not are exempt any stock contractor from paying
annual dues.
a. Member dues must be paid by stock contractor
to remain in good standing with the NMRA. Should stock contract fail to pay
membership dues these fees will be deducted from the field secretary settlement
at the first rodeo of the season.
b. Sub-leased contractors of rough stock must pay $100.00 working card
fee, be leased by a NMRA approved stock contractor and perform at 1 NMRA
sanctioned rodeos to qualify for NMRA Finals

5. Legal
catch will be a bell collar catch. Any
other catch will be called a “no time.”
a. A bell collar catch is defined as a tight
around the calf’s neck with no other appendages in the loop; this includes
legs, ears and/or a tail. A bell collar catch is

6. #9 Incentive Team Roping
a.
#9 Incentive Team Roping capped at a #5 roper
b. Current
USTRC/World Series membership must be presented at time of entry to qualify for
the #9 roping.
c. #9 ropers are eligible to win monies in the #12
incentive providing their time(s) qualify for placing in that division.

a. Ropers will be allowed to enter a maximum of four times.
b. No more than two entries will be allowed in a single division (#9,
#12 or the Open)
c. Ropers must change partners for multiple entries in a single
division.
d. Pertaining to the draw, if a roper is entered in multiple divisions
with the same partner, that team will rope for the highest division on the
first run to the lowest division on the final run.
e. Entry fees for the Team Roping Events will be $100.00 plus
applicable administrative fees.

7. Twenty (20) percent of the Incentive Teams
money (minus stock and sanction charges), not including
the 20 percent from the #9, shall
go to the Open Division, which is inclusive of the #12 Incentive
Teams times, making Incentive Teams eligible to win in Open
& #12 divisions.
a. Twenty (20) percent of the #9 Incentive Teams money (minus stock and
sanction charges) shall go to the #12 Incentive Division. #9 Incentive Teams
are eligible to win money in the #12 and #9 only.

Awards/Prizes
a.
All added monies in the incentive roping sponsored by rodeo
committees will be awarded to the #12 incentive team roping.
b.
Added monies raised or sponsored specifically for the #9 incentive
will be awarded to the #9.
c.
All buckles sponsored by rodeo committees will be awarded to the #9
incentive team roping.
d.
Buckles sponsored specifically for the #12 will be awarded to the
#12.
e.
Year end awards will be presented as follows; #9 Incentive Year End
Champions will receive buckles and #12 Incentive Year End Champions will
receive saddles and buckles.
NOTE: Year End Prizes are
subject to change pending sponsorship and/or monies raised.

19. Entry fees will be on a sliding fee
according to how much money is added at the rodeo.
$0- $500 added - $80 fee
$501-$1500 added = $85 fee

4. The Finals will be run identical to how the entire rodeo season
has been run with the exception of
the 60-40 split. Added money will be equal
at the finals.
At Finals
the Incentive Barrel Racing will be “run within” the Open Barrel Racing event.
a.
Incentive Barrel Racing added money will equal the Open Barrel
Racing added money, with no 60-40 split.
b.
Drag sequences will be determined by the Barrel Racing Directors and
Judges for the most optimal and fair ground conditions for each contestant
entered.
c.
Barrel Racing Director will have final decision at Finals about any
barrel racing issues.

22. Barrel racers are
allowed to wear long sleeved non-button up shirts. They must be fitted, neat,
clean, professional, western themed or
solid colored non-hooded shirts.
a. No sweatshirts, baggy shirts, or any
apparel deemed unprofessional by either judge or a
director will be
permitted.

21. Rowdyism and Quarreling. Rowdyism and
quarreling in the arena at any NMRA sanctioned
event will not be allowed. A $50 progressive fine shall be assessed.

Rodeos having first sanction with New
Mexico will have a $11 Office Charge,
$5.00 Finals Fund Fee and a $15 or $20 Stock charge deducted from
advertised fees. Bull riders have $10
day money added to fees as well!
“NMRA contestants All contestants may enter twice at any rodeo with
the exception of Team Ropers who can already enter three times Team Ropers may enter a maximum of 4 times (See rulebook Team
Roping section). Steer Wrestlers and breakaway ropers may walk up until
two hours before the first performance and enter. Rough Stock contestants may
walk up and enter one hour prior to the draw of the performance they want to
compete in. All contestants entered twice in timed events will run back to back
(performance to slack or slack to performance). No timed event contestant may
compete twice in the same event in the same performance,
except if there are less than 10 total entries in respective event. with the exception of a 2 Go Tie Down
Roping. ALL ROUGH STOCK CONTESTANTS
MAY ENTER & COMPETE TWICE IN EACH PERFORMANCE. SUBJECT TO ABOVE RULE”.
